The items that are needed are small (doll house size) little dolls, and a set of ice trays. You then freeze the dolls in the ice trays. Each guest is given a frozen ice cube, with the doll in it, and the purpose is to melt the ice cube, and to get the baby out. The first person who does this, must yell out "my water broke". This game is quite funny, as guests come up the the most hilarious ways to melt the ice to get the baby out.
Another game is a memory game, where approx 10-15 baby related items are placed on a tray, and the guests are given say one minute to look at the tray, and memorise the items. The guests are then required to recall all the items on the tray, after it is taken away out of sight, and to write them down.
One of the best baby shower games is the dirty diaper game. This guessing game needs a little preparation first. What the hostess needs to do, is to melt a selection of candy or chocolate bars in the diapers. These diapers are passed around, and can be tasted, smelt, or touched. The guests need to guess which candy bar it is. The items can be numbered and they can write down the answers. It does sound a little sick, but the idea is to have fun and this game always has that effect.
